5 activities you can do with your Dad on Father’s Day

It’s never too early to start planning for a special day like this.

If anything, the planning should have started weeks ago but for the last minuters there is still time to find something fun to do with your dad on Father’s Day.

Here are five of them.

1.Organize a screening of football with close family and friends

It’s football season after all. World Cup will have already started by then and you know most guys will be glued to the television during this time.

If there’ll be a match that day, organize a screening of it at your home. Have close friends and family to come over and enjoy a chilled-out day with them.

2.Go for nyama and beer out of town

If you don’t want to bring the party to your home then take the party out of town. There are numerous nyama choma joints around Kenya that can serve as great spots for a day trip. Or if you live in Nairobi, there are others within the city that you should definitely try out.

3.Visit a historical site out of town

If your father is the adventurous type then a visit to a historical site would be great idea. Take a hike during that Father’s Day weekend and spend some quality time together.

4.Give back to the community

If your father has a passion project that he has been working on and you and your family would love to be a part of it, then join him in doing it. His passion project could be helping needy families or helping to keep the environment clean – whatever it is, I’m sure he’ll appreciate you and your family taking the time to be a part of what he wants to do.

5.Recreate family photos

This is a thoughtful way to spend Father’s Day. Pick out some of your old childhood photographs and re-create them with your Father. Create a family album that he can keep and cherish the good mem
