Now, if you’re the kind that wouldn’t really be arsed to go through the hustles of leaving the house for a shoot, then the milk bath maternity shoot is the one for you. Milk baths were made popular by Cleopatra, the Queen of Ancient Egypt who was known to bathe with donkey milk to preserve her beauty and youth. The good thing about this kind of a shoot, you don’t even need to leave the house unless of course, you do not own a bathtub. There are tubs for event rentals so you could rent one or better yet, if a friend has a home with a tub you could borrow the space for a shoot. Most apartments nowadays come with at least one bathtub in the master bedroom’s bathroom. You just need to prepare the milk bath by using milk powder or if you do not want to splurge, since we all know that milk doesn’t come cheap, you could use a white powder that cannot harm your skin just to get the white-water effect, add some sliced fruits and lots of flowers, glitter etc., and then the bath will be ready.

Seeing as you will be immersed in water for the shoot, you could either have a nude shoot or wear a sexy lace outfit or even use a sheer fabric as a cover up. Let the professional photographer give you guidance on how to pose so as to have the best shots. You could even take one with your man if you can both fit, or stunning aerial shots of you looking like a preggers Cleopatra.
