It is rude to take photos of somebody else's baby, Janet says.

The former Citizen TV news anchor would only post photos capturing the baby’s legs, backs, hands but never once showed his face.

On Thursday, Janet revealed some of the rules she has consistently used to protect her child.

Speaking during the television interview, the journalist highlighted that she deliberately waited for Huru to turn one in order to post his photos.

She noted that in all the photos she has posted of Huru, the boy is never alone. According to the journalist, this is a way of ensuring the boy is always protected.

“As long as he is with someone I do not feel like he is exposed,” she said.

Janet mentioned that even her close family members need to ask whether they can post a photo they have taken with Huru.

She, however, directs them to either repost or share the photo she has personally posted on her own social media accounts.

“People have to ask for permission before posting. For instance friends and cousins are usually like can we post? But I am like no, you will repost what I post,” Janet mentioned.

The journalist indicated that the pictures she posts of Huru are usually very well scrutinised.

"I do not just take pictures and post. The photos are well thought out. One of the rules is that he (Huru) has to be with a loved one, he cannot be alone, he cannot be exposed".

According to Janet exposing Huru is unfair because as a one-year-old, he is defenseless and cannot speak for himself.

“I am still trying to maintain him in a safe space until he can talk,” she divulged.

Last year, Janet fired her house help after she found out that she was taking photos with Huru.
