Shock as Dagoretti Boys student beats his classmate to death

The student is wanted by the police for murdering his colleague.

A 17-year-old student at Dagoretti Boys High School is wanted by the police for beating a colleague to death.

According to Nairobi DCI Chief Ireri Kamwende, a fight between the two form-three boys last week turned for the worst when one of the boys was hit severely on the head leading to his death.

He was admitted for the past three days at a Nairobi hospital after suffering

The deceased, Ibrahim Athumani succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday at a Nairobi hospital. He was admitted with severe injuries including a broken jaw after the fight Sunday 17 September.

It has been a dark school term for Kenyan high schools. In just one month many have been victims of arson, students killed and various discrepancies within school administrations unearthed.

Just a few weeks ago, nine form-one lives were lost in a tragic inferno at Moi Girls Nairobi, yesterday an Officer Commanding Station (OSC) was arrested and relieved of his duties after he drunkenly shot at a young school boy who was fetching water at a nearby tap.
