Renowned crusader and mastermind of the ‘Tyranny of Numbers’ cum political analyst has hinted at a major cause of NASA’s failure to oust President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a tweet on Thursday, Prof Mutahi Ngunyi has divulged that the National Super Alliance (NASA) team is grappling with the loss that might have been brought about by Economist and lead strategist to Raila Odinga, Dr Ndii.
“When "madness of a nation disturbs a solitary mind; it is not enough to call him mad" Nasa blames David Ndii for loss. Is he disturbed or mad?” paused Prof Mutahi.
Prof Mutahi’s sentiments come two days after what NTV presenter Larry Madowo quickly termed “outrageous statement” from Dr Ndii, over the need for Kenya to secede.

Dr Ndii had also indicated on Tuesday on a live television that Kenya’s liberation could be achieved through a bullet, “now that the purported democratic processes have been frustrated.”
"If change cannot come through the ballot, it will come through the bullet,” Dr Ndii said in a live interview, which was prematurely terminated.
In addition, Dr Ndii had reiterated that the Raila Odinga led team has plans to stage demonstrations across the country, if the court option – which is underway – fails to bear fruits.
Similar utterances were made by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga during the swearing in ceremony of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho for his second term.
"The Supreme Court is made up of seven judges. The discretion of seven individuals, however wise, can neither represent nor substitute the voice of 15 million people,” Raila said.
He added: “Seven individuals can be intimidated, they can be compromised and they can make genuine mistakes.”
The sentiments by Dr Ndii has elicited massive criticism, dozens of political analysts arguing that the utterances were uncalled for as they show lack of confidence in the judiciary.
Meanwhile, NASA team leader Raila Odinga has exposed yet another anomaly in over 14,000 Forms 34A held by the coalition ahead of the legal turf in the Maraga led Supreme Court.
Mr Raila has argued that the evidence is so bear that the Supreme Court cannot avoid in discrediting Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection early this month.
