From today, the 5th of December 2016, RAAW Trust through the Start-a- Library initiative will launch its second campaign ‘Gifts that Matter,’ a campaign that will run till the 31st of December 2016 and will encourage Kenyans to donate books to public primary schools.

Their aim is creating awareness about the literacy crisis in the country and to get Kenyans to be part of the solution by equipping public primary schools with books.

Start-a-Library is an engine running to ensure that there is a book in every child’s hand.  There are more than 20,000 primary schools that are in dire need of libraries. The initiative is open to both public and private sector stakeholders to invest in the future of our future generations by providing access to supplementary reading materials.
