Together with Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, Mandago today endorsed a candidate running on an Orange Democratic Party candidate within vast Uasi Gishu county.

Charles Okumu is vying to be elected member of the county assembly (MCA) in Langas ward on an ODM ticket.

Mr. Mandago went against the grain and publicly endorsed Mr. Okumu in the deputy president, William ruto backyard.

This is despite Jubilee having a candidate one Mwangi Francis Muya vying for the same position.

In the full glare of the media, the governor, Sudi and Okumu all symbolically joined hands together and raised them high for the public to see their sense of unity.

Furthermore, all the leaders were donning their respective party colours in what appears to be maturity in politics.

Eldoret is traditionally a jubilee stronghold but unlike the past the residents of Eldoret warmly gave Nasa brigade a rousing welcome.

When NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga's running mate Kalonzo Musyoka concluded his political remarks at 64 Stadium in Eldoret town he endorsed Mandago to much applause from the crowd.

"If I were a voter here, I would vote for Mandago. If you see him, say 'hi'," to applause from the crowd.

NASA co-principals Senator Moses Wetang'ula, Governor Isaac Ruto and NASA national campaign chairman Musalia Mudavadi followed suit and endorsed Mandago for another term as the crowd praised the team amid shouts of "Mandago!"
