Education Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed has announced major changes that will take place immediately at Moi Girls High School after the recent rape incident.
The CS in a press conference on Tuesday dissolved the school’s Board of Management (BOM) with immediate effect and ordered that a caretaker school management constituting members from the ministry of education be put in place.
She directed that the school’s five security guards be withdrawn adding that the government would provide security to the institution.

Amina Mohammed directed that the Parents Association be dissolved with immediate effect and called on the parents to meet at the institution on Thursday next week to choose new representatives.
CS Mohammed also ordered all members of staff including support staff at Moi Girls to undergo fresh vetting.
