Blow for Citizen TV as NTV and KTN are back on air

Tough times for Citizen TV

Earlier, Justice Chacha Mwita in his ruling directed the government to bring back the television stations that had been shut down.

The court also issued an order prohibiting the government from meddling with all television transmission before hearing of the case that was set for 14th February 2018.

The government remained mum on the matter despite the court ruling.

Government officials disconnected the stations on Tuesday 30 January 2017 after they defied the government’s warning; not to cover the controversial NASA swearing in ceremony.
