Kenyan family brutally killed in shocking incident

A Kenyan family has been brutally murdered in a bizarre incident.

The ill-fated incident ended the life of a 70 year old grandfather and two of his grandchildren.

The incident that took place in Got-Kasol village, Siaya County has left area residents in shock. They want police to quicken investigations.

Mzee George Okaka ‘s body together with his grandchildren; George Odhiambo and Angeline Akoth were found lying in a pool of blood at their house on Wednesday night.

Gordon Opundo, the area chief said that the bodies were discovered at 8.00 pm by Albeta Ayoo who is Okaka’s wife. She discovered this after she returned from the market.

"When she came home she was surprised to find the door closed. She forced her way in only to bump into the lifeless bodies," the chief said.

The superintendent confirmed that Okaka and Angela were found with ropes tied on their necks while Odhiambo had deep axe cuts on his head.

Mr. Okaka said the police are investigating on the matteradding, “We suspect that the attackers must have been looking for money because Mzee Okaka had just received his elderly persons’ remuneration the previous day.”

The deceased’s bodies have been taken to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary.
