Sonko honours his late father in a special way

Sonko has attributed his success to his late father.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko marked the second anniversary of the death of his father in a special way.

Sonko put up a full page colour heartfelt tribute in two leading dailies as he paid homage to the late Gideon Kioko Kivanguli whom the Governor attributed his whole success to.

Kioko passed away two years ago at the Nairobi Hospital after a short illness.

"Exactly two years ago today, you slid quietly into eternity. Time stood still but it can never erase your presence in our lives. Death may end life but not a relationship. We remember you as a wonderful gift from God, our pillar of strength. We deeply cherish your memories of love, dedication, kindness, wisdom and generosity

which will remain our guiding light. You still are in our hearts, your memories linger, sweetly, tenderly, fondly and truly. We miss you dearly.

Your amazing life was a blessing to us; the memory of your deeds a treasure, your passing left a void beyond words and your absence a pain beyond measure. Although physically gone, you have always been a thought away from us. God be with you till we meet again. May the Almighty rest your soul in eternal peace," Sonko wrote.

The Governor also posted the same message across his social message which drew a lot of sympathy from thousands of his followers encouraging him to take heart as he remembered his late father.
