Taking on Twitter, Havi faulted the Inspector General of Police for failing to take on the real culprits, who roughed up former chairman of Nairobi Central Business District Association Mr Timothy Muriuki.
“There will be no evidence linking EALA MP Simon Mbugua to the crime for which he has been arrested.
“The IG should stop hoodwinking us and arrest the culprits seen in broad daylight, in respect of whom he offered a hefty bounty,” Havi tweeted.

The lawmaker was grilled at Central Police Station, Nairobi, on Tuesday afternoon.
A press conference by the Mr Muriuki on April 30 went in disarray after a group of heavily built men stormed the venue and beat him up.
He called the meeting at Hotel Boulevard to address the problems business people face. The attackers, however, claimed he was a conman hired to tarnish Governor Mike Sonko's name.
In his response to the incident, Muriuki said the goons will not go Scot-free. He said no amount of intimidation will stop him from seeking justice against the men who assaulted him.
