Gov't Report Reveals What Caused Gikomba Fire

Gikomba market was ablaze and fire fighters at the scene were unable to contain the situation.

Property worth millions of shillings went up in flames, a scene that has been witnessed in the country almost every year.

Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri was at the scene where he divulged that the fire could have been an arson attack.

Kiunjuri disclosed that this was as per preliminary report conducted.

The CS noted that the investigations were still underway to get the finer details of the what caused the inferno.

At the same time, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko promised to help in the reconstruction.
