The Nation Media Group has seven days to meet a host of demands issued by the alleged sugar importer and businessman with interest in in sugar industry, Mr Jaswant Rai, after
Rai, whom the Sunday Nation last week ran an explosive expose in which he was accused of importing contaminated sugar, told the leading East African publisher to apologize or face a lawsuit that could see a scuffle.
The Sunday Nation in a story ‘Sweet secrets’ further described how Jaswant Rai, his businesses, political ties and the shocking case of State capture, have influenced the sugar industry in the country.

Through a host of high-end lawyers, the businessman has made the following five demands to the Nation Media Group.
This is not the first time the NMG is running into issues with news sources. Last year, business mogul Jimi Wanjigi demanded an apology after the paper ran an obituary, and would later claim that the ad was mistakenly put on paper.
