SK Macharia's son cremated days after Matiba's cremation

John died last Thursday after a freak accident on the Southern Bypass.

The son of Royal Media Services owner SK Macharia was cremated ahead of his funeral service days after the body of former opposition Kenneth Matiba was interred.

John Macharia's body was interred at the Lang’ata Cemetery Crematorium on Tuesday, ahead of his requiem mass at SK Macharia's home in Murang'a, according to Nairobi News.

His cremation was a private affair with only his family and close friends in attendance.

John died on Thursday night at Karen Hospital, where he had been taken after a freak accident on the Southern Bypass.

Police said he was driving his Porsche 911 that collided with a Land Cruiser on the Southern bypass when the accident happened.

He was a director at Directline Assurance Company.
