Governor Hassan Joho in mourning

May his soul rest in peace.

Mr Tutin once served as Head of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs for French embassy in Kenya.

The governor took the sad news of the demise of Mr Tutin to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, describing him a brilliant friend with passion for culture.

“It is with deep shock and sorrow that I have received the news of the sudden demise of my friend Mr. Jean Pierre Tutin.

“Until his demise, Mr. Tutin served as the Head of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs France in Kenya,” the Governor tweeted.

Joho added: "Together we had laid a project that aimed at revamping the Mombasa tourism sector through the conception of cultural products and scenography of this great city. We have lost a brilliant mind who had passion for preservation of our culture. May his soul Rest in Eternal Peace.May his soul rest in peace."
