Speaking during a press briefing at Jogoo House in Nairobi on Monday, Matiangi announced that this year’s KCSE will be held between October 23rd and November 29.
Matiangi said the ministry has requested the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to hold the repeat of the elections a week before October 17 to allow the national exams to start as scheduled.
“We hope IEBC will heed to our prayer so that the examination and academic programs are not disrupted. We don't want a situation where the academic calendar will be interrupted,” Matiangi urged.

Last year's KCSE examinations took place between November 7-30.
