What top student in 2017 KCPE scored

The 2017 top student scored more than last year's top student.

According to Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, there has been a noticeable improvement in this year's KCPE results as compared to last years.

Speaking at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development on Tuesday morning, Matiang’i officially released the results revealing what the top student scored.

“Our highest candidate this year scored 455 marks out of 500,” he said.

The top student in 2016 scored 437 marks.

The second best candidate in the country was revealed to be from a public school.

He further revealed that the top special needs student scored 426 marks and overall six special needs students scored more than 400 marks.
