Miguna's final message after being deported

Defiant self-declared National Resistance Movement leader Miguna Miguna on Tuesday night spit venom into President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration, minutes before his departure to Amsterdam en route to Toronto, Canada, after the Ministry of Immigration opted to deport him.

The Kenyan-Canadian lawyer maintained in a short message to his inner circles, which Pulse Live Kenya has seen, that he will fight the grievous violation of his rights by the Jubilee government.

"The despots have put me in a flight to Amsterdam en route to Toronto, departure time right now.” He quipped in an emotional note, in which he wanted “a talk to have home back to Kenya soonest.”

"Instead of taking me to court as ordered repeatedly by the courts, they seized my passports and drove me to the runaway at the JKIA from 6pm up to now," he said moments before he left JKIA.

The self-proclaimed NRM general said he will fight to return to Kenya as soon as possible.

Dual Citizenship

Miguna, who has dual citizenship, was forced into a KLM flight that departed at around 11pm. The plane is set to land at 8.30am, the government said in a statement through Twitter on Nexus, touted as the Official Government Newsroom - Communicating Transformation.

“Miguna is headed home. The court ordered he gets released and Interior Ministry obeyed the orders and even assisted him with a flight ticket home. Please note he renewed his Canadian Passport on 16th June 2017,” the State said.

Miguna’s lawyer, Nelson Havi termed the government's efforts against his client as exercises in futility.

“We are reliably informed that Miguna Miguna has been forced into a KLM flight for “deportation” to Canada. Now, how do you deport a Kenyan? This Country has been overrun by criminals,” Mr Havi said shortly after Miguna sent out a distress message.

Miguna's vessel started sinking on January 30 when he stamped documents used for Nasa leader Raila Odinga's self-inauguration as the people's president at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.

He would later dare Interior CS Dr Fred Matiang’i to arrest him“as he is the one who commissioned the oath which Raila Odinga took at Uhuru Park.”

Miguna was flanked by Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang, who administered the oath, and Siaya senator and lawyer James Orengo, who has represented many of the coalition's politicians in legal matters.
