Dr Khalwale said that the both Miguna and his three lawyers – James Orengo, Nelson Havi and Dr John Khaminwa – are drama queens.
The former Kakamega Senator also opined that the embattled ‘General’ should have allowed Immigration officials stamp his Canadian travel documents to officially have him readmitted into the country.
“Dear Kenyans, honestly this knife cuts both ways! Miguna’s lawyers are also drama queens. Otherwise, having travelled on his Canadian passport, he should’ve just produced it for stamping & there after his lawyers move to court for reinstatement of his Kenyan P/P. Simple,” he tweeted.

The sentiments by Khalwale come amid rising tension in Kisumu over the continued detention of Miguna Miguna at the airport for over two days.

Earlier, renowned lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi told Miguna to stop the drama with the State and instead use his passport to enter Kenya, after having it stamped by the Immigration officials at JKIA.
“Miguna just wants publicity & useless drama. If he is serious about coming to Kenya and he is lawfully entitled to, let him go to Mogadishu, or Addis or Kampala or Juba & enter Kenya through border points like Mandera, Moyale, Namanga or Busia. Let him spare us this rolling drama,” he tweeted to his half a million followers.

Miguna was on Tuesday allegedly locked up in a tiny and filthy toilet at one of the JKIA’s terminal 2 and by the time of publishing this story, it was not clear where he spend the Tuesday night.
The barrister, who landed on Monday afternoon, has been denied entry into Kenya despite two court orders directing his return after he was illegally deported to Canada. The government on Monday night attempted to force him on a flight to Dubai, a move which made him cause a scene at the East Africa’s largest airport.
Detained in toilet
In a statement, Dr Miguna on Wednesday said police had locked him “inside a tiny and filthy toilet without access to basic hygiene and necessities of life”.
The media could not immediately confirm his allegations because police have since blocked lawyers and journalists from accessing him.

“The respondents haven’t provided me with food, water and medical attention in addition to not according me my right to counsel,” he said.
“I have no access to a bathroom and I have not taken a shower since Sunday, March 25th. The toilet where I am being held has no shower or bathtub,” he said in the statement.
He added: “There is only hot water in the toilet, hence, I am also unable to wash my face and brush my teeth.”
Justice Roselyn Aburili on Tuesday ordered Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, Director of Immigration Gordon Kihalangwa, and Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinett to release the lawyer and present him in court on Wednesday morning.
Other officials targeted by the court order are Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti, head of the Flying Squad Said Kiprotich, the OCPD for JKIA, and the Attorney-General.

“Despite the court order, and as they have done consistently before, the respondents have not released me,” Dr Miguna says.
“They have locked out my lawyers from accessing me since my illegal detention last evening. They also unsuccessfully attempted to evade service of the court order.”
