Raila makes 5 final demands to Uhuru ahead of his swearing-in

Odinga announced that he would be sworn-in on January 30th.

Speaking in Kakamega on Sunday, Odinga set terms for dialogue to happen between him and the Head of State.

According to the former Prime Minister, they would only hold talks with Government if the following issues were addressed: electoral and police reforms, restructure the Executive, judicial independence and strengthen devolution.

"We want to clean up the electoral agency and systems to end rigging. The current Judiciary is threatened and we must address it. We also want to strengthen devolution and ensure proper systems of governance,” Odinga said.The Opposition leader warned that they would not dialogue with Jubilee if the issues were not part of the talks.He also confirmed that plans were underway for his inauguration scheduled for January 30th. Reports indicate that he will be sworn-in at Uhuru Park in Nairobi county.

Uhuru Kenyatta on dialogue Odinga and other NASA leaders will traverse different counties, launch people's assembly as they build momentum for the swearing in.

On the other hand, President Kenyatta has insisted that he has nothing to dialogue with the Opposition telling them to wait for 2022.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who is also pushing for dialogue, has offered to be the mediator between the Head of State and the former premier.
