Raila's powerful statement on Christmas day

Odinga's message comes shortly after warning about rising dictatorship in the country.

NASA leader Raila Odinga has encouraged Kenyans not to lose hope as they celebrate Christmas with their families.

In a press statement, Odinga emphasised that though things might seem dark now, the dawn is near.

"The darkest hour is always just before the dawn' and the patience Kenyans have exercised thus far will shortly yield results as our plans are complete and our resolve very steady," part of the statement read.

The former Prime Minister pledged to fight for those who lost their loved ones in the hands of security forces during NASA demos.
