Interesting details have emerged of the posh home Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi will be moving into months after she was elected to the top seat.

In a tender notice by the Nairobi County, Ms. Elachi is looking to stay in a gated community in the UN blue zone.

UN blue zones in the City are areas where most expatriates live and include: Kitisuru, Karen, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Muthangari, Spring Valley, Muthaiga, Lower Kabete, Westlands, Highridge, Balozi, Loresho and Windsor among others.

Key features

The lavish house sitting on a half acre plot should have a perimeter wall with electric fencing and no empty plots adjacent to the property.

The 5-bedroomed mansion should also have at least three of the rooms master ensuite with balconies and terraces.

Apart from the sleeping areas, the house needs to have a family/television room, library/study room, and laundry area.

A swimming pool is one of the specific requirements the residence located in the high-end area must have while lawns and flowers beds present to define the outdoor area.

For official meetings, the Speaker’s home should have a reception area big enough to hold 50 people and a parking space that has at least five slots.

According to the tender notice, bidders have until Tuesday noon to post bids for this luxurious mansion.
