The National Super Alliance (NASA) is set for a major blow after two former Governors affiliated to the Coalition announced that they will be joining Jubilee.

The former the immediate former Kajiado governor David Nkedianye and former Taita Taveta governor John Mruttu have announced that they will be joining Jubilee.

The former Taita Taveta Governor has accused NASA leader Raila Odinga of sidelining him even after he massively campaigned for him in the county.

"The presidential campaign team has approached me concerning the issue and am in talks with the ruling party to join their team. I have widely consulted my followers and they have positively welcomed the move," Mruttu told journalist at Mwatate on Saturday.

Mruttu lost to former Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwadeghu in ODM party primaries before vying for gubernatorial seat as an independent.

He however lost to former veteran radio presenter Granton Samboja in the August 8 polls.

On the other hand, Nkedianye reached a deal with Deputy President Ruto on Wednesday last week and he is ready to join Jubilee.

Rumours have been rife about Nkedianye’s defection to Jubilee from the ODM party but no one from the former governor’s side was willing to be open about it.

A close ally of Governor Joseph ole Lenku confirmed on Saturday that talks are in high gear for Ruto to visit Nkedianye’s home on Tuesday, next week.
