Babu Owino's meeting with Kibaki's son excites Kenyans [Photos]

The meeting comes a few weeks after Babu shook hands with Uhuru.

Owino took to his social media pages to inform his supporters of the meeting with Jimmy as well as the Portuguese Ambassador Luisa Fragoso.

In the spirit of the ongoing national building bridges initiative that was started off by President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga, Owino said he had met with Jimmy to discuss empowering the great people of Embakasi East and Kenya.

"I met Jimmy Kibaki earlier today and discussed matters national interest especially the need for a united nation," Owino wrote.

Weeks ago, Owino said he had ended his beef with President Kenyatta in the new found unity that has swept the country and he publicly shook hands with the Head of State during and after the State of the Nation address in parliament.

Most of the Kenyans praised his new mature style of politics after the unity deal struck by Kenyatta and Odinga.

However, some criticised the meeting saying that the former President's son would not impact much in uniting the country.
