Babu Owino's message to Orengo ahead of final verdict after Vote recount

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has sent a special message to Siaya Senator James Orengo, ahead of the final verdict by the High Court after a vote recount was done in Embakasi East.

The vocal MP in his message said that he was thankful to the senator who has tirelessly sacrificed a lot in the case challenging his win in the August 8 election as well as in the struggle to have a better nation.

“I must take this opportunity to appreciate tireless efforts, contributions and sacrifices made by comrade @orengo_james who has always been my big brother and mentor in the struggle for a better nation throughout the case that was challenging my victory at the high court,” said Babu.

The results of the eagerly awaited votes recount released on Monday in a document that was signed by the deputy registrars of the High Court Esther Mburu and Mbayaki Wafula showed that Babu Owino garnered 46,817 votes against 42,501 votes garnered by his main rival, Jubilee's Francis Mureithi.

The High Court is set to make a final ruling on the petition filed by Francis Mureithi challenging Babu’s victory on Friday.
