Raila's team reveals identity of man who hacked IEBC servers

The man is said to have generated a code that was used to infiltrate the IEBC severs, which the commission denied Raila access

The Egyptian Engineer identified as Bavly Farag, is said to be working for a French firm Safran which Mr Odinga claimed was used to massively interfere with the elections transmission system.

Through a NASA Communication telegram channel, Nasa team has provided a photo of the alleged culprit, claiming that he generated the computer code with an algorithm that was used to manipulate the results.

“His name is Bavly Farag […] he is responsible for developing the code with an algorithm to manipulate the results. He was here in Kenya before elections,” reads the message in a channel with over 30,000 members.

Mr Odinga's revelations come in the wake of pilling pressure on IEBC to axe some of its commissioners and make massive changes at the secretariat of IEBC before holding any other elections. The IEBC, however, has maintained that the Ezra Chiloba led secretariat will be manning the repeat exercise.

"We've drawn timelines for the fresh presidential poll. We are now looking into emerging issues, enhancing training & clarity on the process," IEBC wrote in a tweet, avoiding the mention of the composition of the secretariat.

Since the ruling of the Supreme Court which annulled the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Mr Odinga has been championing for the removal of Mr Ezra Chiloba, the CEO of the IEBC for what he termed as subverting the "will of the people by engaging in irregularities and illegalities."

On his part, however, Mr Chiloba earlier maintained that the commission is the only body mandated to run the repeat elections.

Mr Chiloba is leading the team in the repeat elections after a raft of changes at the body by the chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati.
