Court orders Kabogo to pay Uhuru’s lawyer Sh32 million

Major setback for the former governor

Kabogo had sought to have appeal a case in which he was handed a Sh100 million fine after he a judge found him to have forged documents to claim a Sh3.5billion plot of land owned by Ahmednasir Abudullahi’s client.

Abdullahi is a Senior Counsel who also represented President Kenyatta in the last presidential petition.

The Land and Environment Court judge ordered Kabogo to pay Aster Holdings director Nayan Patel, the legitimate owner of the 7.5 acre land, Sh100 million for illegal possession and trespass, and another Sh32million to the law firm of Ahmednasir and Abdikadir Associates.

The former Kiambu Governor has appealed the ruling but will be required to first pay the damages and the legal suits before his case can be heard.

Aster has indicated that it will file a bankruptcy suit should the former governor fail to pay the monies.
