NASA strategist David Ndii was on Wednesday forced to apologise after he fell victim to a fake news report on the purported death of President Daniel arap Moi.
Ndii had tweeted a breaking news article from a notorious fake news site but shortly after found himself on the receiving end from a section of Kenyans who were angered by the tweet.
Shortly after, Ndii responded with the message, "Fake news apparently. Cruel",
He admitted that he had fallen victim to the fake news after underestimating how cruel people can be.
Moi is currently in Israel where he is undergoing treatment for a knee-injury.
Despite the Ndii's profuse apologies, Kenyans on Twitter did not mince their words in attacking the renowned economist for sharing unverified information.
