The win all but guarantees a safe passage for Mrs Nyenze to take over the seat held by her late husband who passed away last month while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.

Her candidature for the seat was drummed up as early as the day her late husband was buried with several leaders including Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu endorsing her for the position.
