ODM finally speaks of joining DP Ruto's camp for 2022
Clearly there is a way to force Mr Odinga out of ballot in 2022.

Speaking in an interview in a local radio station Monday morning, Sifuna dismissed reports that Raila Odinga’s deputy, Wycliffe Oparanya, was in talks with Deputy President William Ruto on the possibility of forming a coalition for 2022, other than Nasa.
“Every leader in ODM, who are above me in the party, is entitled to their opinion, and I cannot speak for any of them. We have no plans to move out of Nasa, I have said this many times.
What we are saying is that the leaders in both ODM and Nasa coalition should watch out so that we resolve the current electoral injustices before we can talk about 2022. If someone has no blood for such a course, then there is always an alternative,” Sifuna affirmed.

Oparanya's presidential bid
The sentiments from Sifuna comes at a time speculations were rife after Mr Oparanya on Thursday last week, hinted at looking for new political partners, amid calls to his boss, Mr Odinga, to quit politics.
“Parties come together to ascend to power. We did not get to that. And now, when we get to 2022, we will look at other parties that were not with us in 2017, because we must look for an alliance to help us win.
"Let us all fend for ourselves — each for his own. This thing of hanging on people’s backs and talking about 2022 endlessly must end," he remarked last week Thursday during the swearing-in ceremony of the County Executive Committee Members in Kakamega town.

The former Planning Minister, who, after his victory in the August 8 General Election spelt out his agenda to his supporters for the next five years, earlier announced he would be going for a bigger post at the national level after completing his final term.
He pledged to ensure all projects he initiated were completed before exiting the county leadership to try his luck in national politics.
And the former Planning minister appears to have kicked off a quiet, behind-the-scenes campaign in preparation for the 2022 Presidential contest.
“My dream is to leave Kakamega a better place than I found it after I was elected the first governor of the county,” Mr Oparanya said after being sworn into office last year.
