Joho’s career receives major boost after 5 events

Major victories for NASA and ODM leader

The governor has come out strongly since the swearing in of National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga in what analyst believe is a strategy to rise to the top and replace Odinga when he hangs his boots.

He has led a series of scathing attacks on NASA principals Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka after the trio skipped the 30 January 2018 event.

Political analyst Maimuna Mwidau opined that his abrasive nature of politics “is his brand and it has earned him supporters and enemies”.

His recent run-ins with state agencie and altercations with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have also elevated his status and earned him support across the nation.

Joho was at one point barred by armed police officers from accessing President Kenyatta’s events in March and May 2017when he commissioned the Mtongwe Ferry launch and the launch of the Standard Gauge Railway.

In 2016, state agencies closed Autoports and Portside companies linked to Joho family in what he termed as attempts by state agencies to frustrate him.

The wave of altercations saw State agencies claim that the governor never went to school.

However, this was rebutted with photos emerging of the governor in school and his former classmates coming to his defense, leaving state agencies with an egg in the face.

All the while, he cured a niche among opposition supporters as a rebel with a course, drawing admiration from across the nation.

His performance in KCSE and his degree was also a subject of discussion and ended up in court with the governor achieving major victory.
