Blow for Kalonzo after Government's new decision

Another setback for Kalonzo after his home was attacked.

This comes barely days after State withdrew his security details due to the planned NASA swearing-in ceremony that took place on Tuesday. The former Vice President's Karen home was also attacked on Wednesday by unknown people who hurled a grenade in his compound and fired gunshots.

Speaking at Okoa offices in Nairobi on Thursday, Kalonzo Stated that Government had taken the last thing he could use to defend himself."They first took away my security, then my home was attacked with a hand grenade and two bullets shot from an AK47 the next day."Now they have come for the last thing I could use to defend myself,” the NASA co-principal decried his situation. Government Declares NRM criminal groupOn Wednesday, the Government announced that they would revoke firearm license for all members of NRM after it was declared a criminal group by Interior CS Fred Matiang'i.The crackdown began by withdrawing security detail for all NASA MPs and that has been extended to revoking their firearm licenses.

The State also commenced investigations on those who participated in the swearing-in of Raila Odinga on Tuesday which led to the arrest of Tom Kajwang, who has since been released.Odinga previously announced that NASA would be divided into two groups: National Resistance Movement (NRM) for civil disobedience and parliamentary wing.
