German MP makes special request to Uhuru's Government over Miguna

Miguna is expected to jet into the country on Monday morning.

Dr Gysi, a member of the German parliamentary group, Die Linke, has asked the Kenyan Government to guarantee Miguna's safety when he returns to the country on March 27, 2018.

In a letter to Kenya's Ambassador to Germany, Joseph Magut, Dr Gysi expressed his concern over the safety of the NRM General.

"Recently I had a conversation with the opposition politician of your country, Dr Miguna Miguna. He was induced to leave his country on February 6, 2018. He is now determined to return to Kenya on March 27, 2018, whose state citizen he is. "He and his friends are worried that his safety in Kenya could not be guaranteed. That is why I ask you in this letter to do everything possible to ensure that it is treated in accordance with human rights and has a chance to live freely in Kenya," Dr Gysi writes in the letter.

The German lawmaker further asks the Government to treat Miguna in accordance with human rights and his rights as a Kenyan citizen.

On Friday, Miguna's lawyer and Siaya Senator James Orengo revealed that the NRM General will jet into the country using an Ethiopian Airline on Monday 26 March 2018.

The Senator further disclosed that Miguna's flight is expected to land in the country at 10.30 am.

Orengo urged KNCHR to ensure that security is beefed up at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to ensure Miguna’s family members and his legal team access the Canadian based lawyer when he arrives.
