NASA principals Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula staring at early retirement
One move by Odinga brought the political careers of the trio who were major players in Kenya’s politics with public rallies attended by any of the NASA principals witnessing massive attendance to a sudden halt.
The turnout at events attended by the trio has dropped significantly, with Mudavadi and Wetangula opting to retreat to Western Kenya where the turnout has been equally disappointing.
The trio who used to enjoy extensive media coverage and publicity have found themselves in unfamiliar territory with their events either going unnoticed or with little or no media coverage.

Their erstwhile loyal lieutenants have since ditched them and have joined ranks with NASA leader Raila Odinga leaving them like generals with no army.
Case in point is Amani National Congress nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi who publicly advised his party leader to stick to Odinga, amaking it clear that Mudavadi’s political prospects and profile amounted to nothing without Odinga.
Prior to the Raila Uhuru handshake, all the 4 NASA principals were selling the agenda of electoral justice and reforms. The March 09 handshake has however left Mudavadi, Wetangula and Musyoka with no consistent agenda.
Instead they make occasional political statements and have failed to rally their supporters behind a consistent agenda.
On the contrary, Odinga has rejuvenated his career and remained politically relevant with a new push for constitutional amendments and national unity mission.

With little or no media coverage, no consistent agenda, division in their parties and dwindling political support, the reality of early retirement from politics is getting real to NASA principals Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi.
