A former presidential candidate has revealed how opposition leader Raila Odinga helped him secure a job after the ruling Jubilee government abandoned him.
"The top Jubilee leadership had abandoned me and I had to share my problems with Raila who helped me get a job in Tanzania," said Jirongo while speaking at the buria of Julia Amayo, widow of former Karachuonyo MP Okiki Amayo.
Jirongo revealed that he flew with Raila to Tanzania where the opposition chief introduced him to the country's President John Magufuli who later gave him the job he is currently doing.
"Raila is the one who introduced me to Tanzanian President and the country's Prime Minister who later gave me a job. I now live a comfortable life," he said.
Cyrus Jirongo who was a presidential candidate in the August 8, 2017 general election was declared bankrupt by the Commercial Court after Judge Olga Sewe found he was unable to pay a debt running into hundreds of millions of shillings.
