Mohamed Ali’s makes surprise U-Turn on Joho

The Nyali MP had blamed Joho for rigging him out of last year's ODM nominations.

Ali, who has been a bitter critic of Joho for the past year, has now extended an olive branch to the governor and said he is now ready and willing to work with him.

When asked on Sunday whether he would work with Joho, the Nyali MP said the time for electioneering was over and it was time for leaders to work together for development and transform the lives of people.

“I am ready to work with anyone. We will work with anybody so long as the agenda revolves around discussing issues affecting residents. We call upon everyone to come on board so that together we can transform lives of the electorates,” Ali affirmed.

This, he said was in line with the recent national building bridges initiative that was kicked off by President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.

“We as leaders must get ready to preach peace, reconciliation and forgiveness in our regions so that together we can soldier on as a country. as for me, I am ready to be an ambassador of peace in my constituency,”  the MP reiterated.

Ali, a former KTN investigative journalist has been a harsh critic of Joho and his administration ever since he claimed he was rigged out of the ODM Nyali nominations by the Governor in last year's polls.

Ali lost to Joho's brother Said Abdalla in the ODM nominations and later vied for the Nyali parliamentary seat as an independent candidate.

The MP called the party nominations a sham citing massive irregularities in the process that saw him rigged out in favour of Abdalla.
