Uhuru's team speaks out on why IEBC failed to open servers
Instead the court should have looked at what is in the ballot!

In a press briefing at Jubilee Headquarters, Mr Tuju has said that the IEBC was not the right body to grant access to the crucial information, adding that the generalized judgement by the Supreme Court’s decision to insinuate that failure by IEBC to open severs was a qualifier that the system was hacked.
“It is like having a Google account. That does not mean that you have all the rights to access Google servers. No! The Supreme Court therefore erred in assuming that the IEBC database was hacked,. Th e firm that actually supplied the servers was the one to open up them up, not the IEBC,” Mr Tuju told reporters in Nairobi on Saturday.

In its detailed ruling, the Supreme Court on Thursday said that the deliberate ignorance by the Wafula Chebukati led team to open up servers for scrutiny as was earlier ordered by the court was an attempt to abet hacking claims.
IEBC chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati, however, earlier said that there were attempts by unknown people to manipulate the commission's servers on August 8.
Commenting on the just delivered full judgement of the Supreme Court, Mr Tuju told reporters that the Supreme Court should have considered recounting the votes cast on the August 8 polls, instead of annulling the presidential election altogether.
The CJ David Maraga led seven judge bench at the Supreme Court annulled President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win and ordered a fresh election in 60 days. The IEBC already announced October 26 as the new date for the repeat polls.
Meanwhile, IEBC’s Director of Legal affairs Praxedes Tororey bowed out of her role at the poll team on Friday, owing to the attainment of her age limit of 70.
