On Tuesday, ODM senators unanimously voted out the Bungoma Senator and replaced him with Orengo.Appearing on Citizen TV's The Big Question on Tuesday night, Orengo denied any knowledge of the events that took place on Tuesday in parliament.He mentioned that it was a decision by ODM senators and did not hold any meetings to woo or persuade them to vote for him.
"Something has happened in my life since 2017. I managed to get into Senate even without campaigning as much as other Senators," Orengo stated.The Siaya senator disclosed that NASA would meet on Thursday to deliberate the decision that had been taken and announce the way forward."I had a meeting with all the NASA principals today, and we will still meet on Thursday to put the events of today into context."NASA is not dead. NASA co-principals expressed their disapointment with ODM after they ousted Wetangula.Mudavadi's team accused ODM of working hard to break the coalition and disrespecting affiliate parties.On the other hand, Kalonzo appealed to Orengo to turn down the nomination since it would have far more reaching consequences for the coalition.
