The only person Joho trusts after Uhuru's warning

The wife is not even on 'Sultan's' list of people he trusts.

Speaking during NASA’s first consultative forum on the People’s Assembly held at the Sun n Sand Beach Hotel in Kikambala, Kilifi County on Sunday which was attended by Nasa leader Raila Odinga, Joho hit at Coastal critics who are affiliated to Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee party.

Joho told off Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala, Mining CS Dan Kazungu and former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar and added that he had no time for cabinet secretaries, governors, MPs or senators who hurried assemble press conferences to answer him every time he speaks.

“We will give you Owen Baya, Mishi Mboko, Aisha Jumwa, Badi Twalib, or if we feel like it, we will let Gladys Wanga and Millie Odhiambo to deal with you,” Joho said.

He added: “The noise of a frog does not stop even a sheep from drinking water.”

Earlier before the president warned governors Joho and Kingi over secession, Tourism CS Najib Balala had had an onslaught on Mr Joho.

The CS had held various press conferences to water down the efforts of the two, a situation which prompted them to miss the just concluded Governors Inauguration in Kwale County.

On Friday last week, President Uhuru Kenyatta has scoffed at opposition calls for secession and warned that stern action will be taken against anyone threatening the country’s peace and stability.

In an apparent reference to calls by the opposition for parts of the country to break away and plans to swear in Nasa leader Raila Odinga as president, he warned that those who “cross the line” will not be tolerated.

“We will not entertain any language, any action, that threatens our territorial integrity,” Mr Kenyatta told first-time governors and their deputies Thursday when he officially opened their retreat at Diani Reef Hotel in Kwale County.

“We can have dialogue, either individually or collectively, but one thing is clear; there is a line, and if you cross it, the law will deal with you,” President Uhuru warned.

Last month, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi, Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo, and 15 lawmakers said they had started talks towards secession in protest against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s continued leadership.
