Kalonzo & Mudavadi issue new statement over Wetangula

National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi have disagreed with Raila Odinga led ODM party over the eviction of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula as Senate Minority leader.

After their morning meeting in Karen, the two leaders declared their unwavering support for Mr Wetangula.

"The principals have reaffirmed their total confidence in Hon Wetangula as the official leader of the minority in Senate. Their support for Wetang’ula in this regard is unwavering," the statement read.

On Thursday, the Ford Kenya Party leader was an embattled man after Minority Whip and Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr introduced the motion of his removal through a letter as per the House rule.

Mr Kilonzo presented the letter following a Parliamentary group meeting attended by 16 senators affiliated to the ODM Party.
