A three story building belonging to a hospital in Nandi County has collapsed.
Already 17 out of around 40 people have been rescued unhurt in the collapsed building, leaving additional 20 people trapped. A Nandi County official Pius Masai has confirmed the rescues.
Currently, the County Government of Nandi County in conjunction with the Kenya Red Cross Society conducting a rescue mission.
The building, a three-storey building, was under construction in Kapsabet Town. Reports indicate that already nearly 20 people have been rescued.
The county government of Nandi is said to have earlier warned the contractor that the three storey building was not stable. The contractors are said to have carried on with the construction despite the forewarning.
