I take this opportunity to wish these young boys and girls the best of luck and success in the exams. I encourage all candidates to be courageous as they prepare to sit the exams. It is a major transition that sees them progressively taking over their own future and ours as a country," Odinga said.

The NASA leader encouraged the candidates advising them that they the only way to realise lasting success was only through hard work and playing by the rules and urged them to avoid the temptations of shortcuts.

On Monday, the over one million pupils will be taken through rehearsals before the start of the examinations on Tuesday morning with Mathematics and English before the Composition paper in the afternoon.

Candidates will be examined in Science, Kiswahili Lugha and Insha on Wednesday before finishing with Social Studies and Religious Education papers on Thursday.
