Alfred Keter ditches Jubilee Party ticket

Keter to announce next party after losing Nandi Hills seat

Keter whose election was nullified by High Court Judge Kanyi Kimondo on Thursday blamed the executive for losing his seat.

Addressing his supporters after he lost the seat, Keter declared that he would announce his next move, expressing doubts that the Jubilee party will deny him the party ticket.

“We might even be denied the Jubilee ticket. I know that I will not be given the ticket: But I will announce the way forward,” he stated.

Alluding to the love-hate relationship between him and Jubilee party leadership headed by President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, Keter stated that “As you have all seen, these two people don’t want us”.

As he ponders his next move, his supporters have urged him to decamp to Kenya African National Union (KANU) or Amani National Congress (ANC).

Meanwhile, Bernard Kitur who challenged his win has disclosed that he has been receiving threatening messages after the verdict came out.

“I will not be cowed. It is my right to seek legal redress because I felt the election was not free and fair,” Kitur disclosed.

He added that he would contest in the by-election.
