I have nothing to hide - Uhuru unapologetic over his harsh remarks

President Uhuru holds a heart to heart confession as to why he is so angry at CJ Maraga.

During a delegate meeting at Nakuru, President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally explained his onslaughts against the Chief Justice David Maraga and the rest of the judges at the Supreme Court.

In various rallies, the president has expressed his anger at the fact that the Supreme Court ruled against his favor during the election petitions. He is yet to mince his words when describing the ruling, that saw his win of the Presidential seat for the second tenement nullified, as unfair.

He went on to say that Kenya has a problem and Maraga's election as the Chief Justice with statements like 'six people have decided to go against the will of the people.'

But while various authoritative fraternities such as the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa (CCJA) warned his against putting the lives of the six judges, Uhuru has gone on to express his disappointment with the Supreme Court stating that even he is human. He said that he does not deny the fact that he was very upset with the CJ and his team.

He stated, "Na nilikuwa nimekasirika, sana na huyo Maraga na koti yake. Lazima ni seme, mimi si fichi." (I was very angry with Maraga and his court. I must say, I have nothing to hide."

He went on to describe the reason of his anger using a stolen cow. He said, "Jameni, umeenda kwa soko umenunua ngomb'e. Ukuje uibiwe, polisi apate ile ngombe… uende kotini alafu koti iseme nikweli hii ngombe ni yako lakini kwa sababu hukujaza hii form P3, ngombe irudi na mwizi. Hungekasirika?”

(Picture buying a cow and then it’s stolen. The police find it and you go to court. However when you get to court the judge decides that indeed the cow is yours but because you didn’t fill Form P3 the cow should go back with the thief, wouldn’t you also be angry?)

In an attempt to the woe the delegates from Kisii at the meeting, he said that he has no problem with Kisii tribesmen but has a problem with the ruling that the Chief Justice gave.

“Na nitaendelea kusema hata mbele yenyu wakisii, mimi sina shida na wakisii lakini ninashida na huo uamuzi wa huyo mzee na watu yake.”

(I will continue to say even before you Kisii people that  I have no problem with the Kisii but I have a problem with the decision of that old man and his people.)

Uhuru went on to say that he would have been okay if the decision was to take the ballot boxes to Kasarani Stadium and have the votes recounted instead of voiding the results.

He went on to ridicule the opposing party leader, Raila Odinga for going to Nyamira to frustrate his numbers by using his words against CJ Maraga reminding them of Raila’s onslaught on CS Fred Matiang’i.
