Miguna reveals what will happen when he returns to Kenya

This is it

In a tweet, Mr. Miguna stated that his return would mark the mothers of all liberation wars. He went ahead to assure his supporters that the date of his return will be announced soon and they ought to be ready.

“I have put on my 5-Star  General's uniform. My return date will be announced soon. It's going to be the mother of all liberation wars," he tweeted.

A liberation war is a war fought to gain independence for a country or to free it from oppression.

Miguna’s lawyers led by Senior Counsel John Khaminwa moved to court to challenge the deportation which was conducted under unclear circumstances.

Last week, High court judge Luka Kimaru ruled that the deportation was illegal and ordered Director of Immigration Gordon Kihalangwa to surrender Miguna's revoked passport to the court within seven days.

“CS Matiang’i declaration of Miguna Miguna as a foreigner and consequent deportation is declared null and void,” Judge Kimaru said.

In a statement, Mr. Kibicho noted that the ruling was not in the best interest of the country.

“We believe the ruling by Justice Luka Kimaru which further directs the Director of Immigration Services to surrender Miguna’s illegally acquired passport within seven days is not in the best interests of the country,” the statement read in part.

The lawyer was deported to Canada after participating in the swearing-in of National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga as the People’s President.

Miguna dramatic arrest

Before his deportation, he was arrested and transferred to several police stations despite court orders to Inspector General Joseph to present Miguna before Milimani Court.

Later, he was taken to a Kajiado Court where he refused to take a plea and demanded he be presented before the Milimani Court.

Police officers resolved to transfer him to Nairobi where the judge was waiting but this never happened. However he was taken to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and deported to Canada.
