Moses Kuria and Margaret Kenyatta embark on a tour of Homabay, Migori ahead of President Kenyatta’s visit

Jubilee team to tour Raila's home turf ahead of President Kenyatta's visit

Homa Bay, County Woman Representative Gladys Wanga  confirmed that the delegation will receive a warm reception following the recent truce between president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition boss Raila Odinga who pledged to work together.

Moses Kuria will today preside over a harambee at a Church in Homabay county where he is also expected to address the public.

On Tuesday next week, the Jubilee raid in the opposition stronghold continues with Firts Lady Margaret Kenyatta being the chief guest at a charity event to be held at the Brittney Home of Grace in Migori County.

Analysts believe that the visits are meant to pave way for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visits to the opposition stronghold.

Wanga divulged that the region is warming up to alliances from other regions and more leaders will be brought on board.

“This is just the beginning and our actions will not be limited to Central Kenya. We will reach out to the rest of Kenyans, but as things stand Central is a top priority,’’ Wanga said.

The series of visits come at a time when plans are underway to have the President tour the region together with Odinga in a bid to unite the country.

The opposition chief has also cast his nets wider following a recent meeting with retired President Daniel Moi.

The meeting was also attended by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi with speculations rife that the two political heavyweights could be plotting to work together ahead of the 2022 polls.
