Raila gives Moses Kuria a special assignment

Kuria embarks on a special mission

Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has revealed that opposition chief Raila Odinga gave him a special assignment when they met a few days ago.

Addressing the public in Homabay County during a fundraiser, Kuria disclosed that Odinga tasked him with conducting countrywide reconciliation meetings after his famous handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“When I visited Mr Odinga in his office, he told me that the handshake is useless unless we devolve it to Kenyans,” Kuria said.

In line with the Odinga’s request, Kuria disclosed that yesterday (Saturday) marked the start of his task and extended an invitation to leaders from the region.

“This is the first day I am devolving the handshake. I want to invite your leaders to visit Rift Valley and Central Kenya because this handshake is for all Kenyans,” he said.

Yesterday’s event saw political enemies unite as the Gatundu South MP was accompanied by vocal Homabay County Woman Representative Gladys Wanga.

Kuria donated Sh 1 Million during the fund-raiser declaring that political differences between the two rival camps had ended with the handshake.

Kuria has in the past faced charges of hate speech against NASA leader Raila Odinga.
