Kenyans told to ignore Raila’s handshake a day after Uhuru differed with Raila

This development comes a day after President Kenyatta trashed calls for a referendum

“Raila’s handshake is not sincere and Kenyans need to ignore it as it was in bad taste,” Murkomen stated.

Together with Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa, the Senate Majority leader disclosed that Odinga’s intentions are questionable, having sought audience with both President Kenyatta and former President Daniel Moi.

The leaders were speaking at a public function in Eldama Ravine, Koibatek a day after President Kenyatta trashed calls for a constitutional referendum championed by the former premier.

The event was also attended by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Deputy President William Ruto who steered clear of politics, warning those behind the rampant insecurity in Kapedo.

The DP made it clear that those who break the law will be brought to justice and directed the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinet to arrest the suspects behind the killings.

In his address during a Kenya Private Sector Alliance(KEPSA) event, the president categorically stated that his present concern is the big four agenda and improving the lives of Kenyans, adding that he has no time to run around the country.

This marked his first major difference over public issues with Odinga whose calls for constitutional amendment culminating into a referendum is gathering momentum.

Earlier on, Odinga had disclosed that constitutional amendments had formed part of the discussion with the president during the March 09 unity deal.
