NASA closes door for dialogue with Uhuru, issues new demands

We do not want dialogue anymore

The National Super Alliance (NASA) on Friday announced that the door for dialogue between its leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru was closed.

Speaking at Intercontinental Hotel NASA CEO Norman Magaya stated that the Opposition gave the Head of State ample time to initiate talks but ignored.

Mr. Magaya mentioned that the dialogue now will take place after the swearing-in o NASA leader Raila Odinga as the People’s President on January 30, 2018.

“We gave President Kenyatta enough time to have a dialogue with us and I can assure you that the door is now closed. The swearing-In will go on as initially planned and dialogue may happen after January 30 between two presidents,” he said.

The NASA boss insisted that the ceremony will be held at Uhuru Park despite a notice by the Nairobi County Government closing the area for renovation.

“Our first option is Uhuru Park, our second option is Uhuru Park and our third option is Uhuru Park,” he said.

Magaya highlighted that the swearing-in was a National ceremony hence the Opposition expects police to provide security just like any other event.

He insisted that anyone who tries to stop the swearing in will simply 'drown'.

This comes a day after sources inside NASA divulged that it had already purchased expensive equipment ahead of the ceremony.
